Ethics & Integrity 2025 ETHICS AND INTEGRITY IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION 2025
Ethics has become one of the most debated topics in public as well as the private life, mostly due to ethical challenges and leadership lapses faced the public and private life of society. To be better citizens, and mostly importantly, to be ethical and responsible public servants, we need to know, understand and embrace ethical behaviours and principles of good governance.
In light of the above, this course introduces you to concept of ethics, the philosophy of ethics, the various theories, professional codes of ethics and conflict of interest. It addresses the issue of corruption, among other cases of special ethics. It emphasizes the need to have ethical standards that are consistent across society, especially among the leaders. This course will provide students with a critical understanding of ethics that they can bring into their workplaces, developing the attitude of being trouble-shooters on ethical issues in society, as well as being pro-active in looking for answers to such ethical problems. In brief, the course aims to empower students to become responsible citizens with an ethics-oriented minds and actions.
