Course details on International agricultural trade (IAT)
The course covers the various theoretical concepts underlying International Trade. The course familiarizes students with an understanding of the main instruments of policy analysis in IT. Policies such as tariffs, quotas and non-tariff barriers, as well as, application of game theory to international trade.
Course objectives
i. Describe and interpret the assumptions and structure of standard models of international trade theory and policy.
ii. Use the standard models of international trade to interpret and analyse real problems and issues in international economics.
iii. Describe and interpret how institutions and policy affect international trade.
