Welcome to PGDE Guide to SP!
The main purpose of the first school practice is to allow students get an experience of their professional roles as they prepare to teach students at Ordinary and /or Advanced Levels. The duration of school practice for PGDE is normally longer than that of undergraduate student teachers, with an additional number of weeks. Practice involves teaching, and carrying out of some other school-related activities as found suitable, in a selected secondary school(s); this is why it is called school practice, not teaching practice. This preliminary course at the University entitled; Guide to School Practice and Supervision helps student-teachers to bring together and apply the various principles and skills about teaching and learning.
