Bachelor of Arts in Local Governance and Human Rights
The bachelor of Arts in Local Governance and Human Rights can be taken directly or follow the two years of diploma. In all cases, completion of the credits of diploma is compulsory. It aims at developing student’s an understanding of the workings of local government and the processes of the decentralization system and helping students analyze local problems and come up with ideas to enhance sustainable development. Lastly it equips students with a deeper knowledge human rights. Courses under this program place emphasis on increasing students’ understanding of the managing local government activities and issues of decentralization geared at development. They further help students to understand the scope and limits of international human rights principles and institutions. The bachelor’s degree programme takes a total of 156 credit hours plus 12 credit units for the dissertation.
