This course will introduce you to various digital tools and techniques used in teaching university-level students. Whenever possible the tools you will explore will be free. Some of the things we will cover include:
- The definition of digital pedagogy and samples
- Digital platforms and apps for the learner
- Collaboration tools for classroom and online learning (synchronous & asynchronous)
- Creating digital audio & publishing as podcasts or course files
- Creating digital video & publishing in a private YouTube channel or course files
- Creating digital images using Canva
- Producing interactive learning content
- Using interactive learning content in your online course
- Creating interactive assessment for classroom and online learning
- Live class streaming and hybrid learning
- Security and safety for online learners
This is not an exhaustive list. You will have at least two days a week in the classroom. The rest of the week will be online learning through videos and interactive assignments. If there are tools or techniques you would like use to explore please let me know. This course is for you and can be adapted to help you get the most out of the experience.
