Fundamentals of Accounting 1 introduces the students to the basics and foundation of Accounting. It explores the structure of the accounting system: the methods and approaches in use. The course concentrates on the way accounting information is processed, the principles that underline preparation of financial records and how to record business transactions with focus on financial accounting system. It brings to light the information needs of users, the quality required of accounting information/reports and statements necessary for stakeholders to make informed decisions.
