So History is so important for you to know why things are the way they are. We can use that past knowledge to shape the future.
Similarly, the past of the church determined the present in matters religious, social and political. The present can be used to project the future as well.
So History is not a useless study of past events and peoples. IT is a study to learn from as the present people move on.
