The first part of this course provides an introduction to the classification, relationships, structure, and function of plants. It covers reproduction and development of seed and non-seed plants, levels of organization, form, structure and function of plant systems, and a survey of major taxa. In the second part, the course covers structures and histology of angiosperm roots, stems, leaves, flowers, fruits and seeds; Structure and development of the shoot apex (germination in plants); and Plant growth, development growth regulation.
