Biomathematics refers to the use of mathematical methods in analyzing and solving
problems that arise from biosciences. The other name for Biomathematics is Math-
ematical Biology. As biology becomes more quantitative, the use of mathematics in
biology becomes inevitable. The process of describing a real world problem (biologi-
cal, physical, etc) in mathematical terms and then using mathematics to analyze the
problem is referred to as mathematical modelling.
